Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham, has announced that her latest movie, The Ghost and the Tout, was number one in cinemas across Nigeria in its first opening weekend.
The 32-year-old revealed via Instagram on Wednesday that the movie knocked off Hollywood hit, Avengers: Infinity Wars, to the number one spot.
Toyin appreciated everyone who came out to support her, saying they all deserve some accolades.
“Thank you to everyone who made this happen,” she wrote.
The Ghost and the Tout tells the story of Isila (Toyin Abraham), a young woman from the ghetto who encounters a ghost in need of her help to communicate with the people he left behind.
At the ghost’s request, she becomes tangled in solving a murder mystery and her life takes an interesting turn.
The movie features Dele Odule, Chiwetalu Agu, Bobrisky, Josh2funny, Lasisi Elenu, Femi Adebayo, Chioma Akpotha and Sambasa Nzeribe.
