LagosExplorer reports that Yinka Theisen has opened up about her controversial relationship with Nollywood actor Linc Edochie, revealing that she began dating him after he confided in her about alleged infidelity and drug use by his estranged wife, Amaka Paula.
In a now-viral interview with actor Uche Maduagwu, Yinka Theisen claimed that Linc painted a heartbreaking picture of betrayal that led her to offer emotional support, which eventually turned into a romantic relationship. Linc and Amaka were married in 2010 and share two children. In May 2025, Linc proposed to Yinka, but the couple’s engagement unraveled a month later following her involvement in the public divorce drama of Yul and May Edochie.
“What Linc did to me, I’m shocked. I can’t lie to you, I’m shocked,” Yinka said during the interview. “This is a man a lot of people don’t know. The family had a tragic event recently and I was there for him. I came to stay with him in Lagos. I supported him.”
Yinka went on to allege that Linc told her disturbing things about Amaka, claiming she “was sleeping around in Abuja with all the Alhajis” and that “she’s a weed head.” According to Yinka, Linc even accused his ex of withdrawing medication meant for their child, who reportedly suffers from seizures.
“I started a relationship with him after he told me a very, very sad thing,” she said. “These are things I have text messages of. I supported him emotionally because I couldn’t believe that a woman would repeatedly cheat on such an awesome man.”
The revelations have stirred intense reactions online, especially within the Nollywood circle and among fans of the Edochie family. While some have expressed sympathy for Linc, others question the timing and motive behind Yinka’s public disclosure.
