Aisha Yesufu Alleges Plot to Normalise Election Glitches

In a post on X, outspoken activist Aisha Yesufu alleged that the Nigerian government is deliberately conditioning citizens to accept recurring system failures ahead of future elections.

“All of a sudden there are system glitches everywhere! People are being conditioned ahead of time to accept the glitches that will come during the election!” she wrote, sparking heated debate among her followers.

Yesufu, a prominent human rights advocate and close ally of Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, alleged that the sudden rise in glitches across key sectors was not coincidental but part of a wider pattern to make Nigerians view technical disruptions as normal.

Her comments add to the growing demand for accountability and electoral reforms, as citizens insist that technology deployed in national exercises must function without avoidable failures that cast doubt on Nigeria’s democratic process.

The activist, known for her fierce criticism of government inefficiency, alleged that these recurring glitches may be used as convenient excuses to justify lapses during future polls.
