Natasha Fires Back! Set to Reclaim Senate Seat Tuesday

Natasha Storms Back! Vows Senate Return After Court Victory

The storm began when Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan appeared on Arise TV, where she accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment — a bold allegation that quickly spiraled into a legal showdown between the two politicians.

In the aftermath, the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions suspended the Kogi Central lawmaker for six months on March 6, citing gross misconduct.

However, in a landmark ruling on Friday, the Federal High Court in Abuja declared the suspension “unduly excessive” and ordered her immediate reinstatement. Presiding judge, Justice Binta Nyako, also imposed a N5 million fine on the senator in connection to a cyberbullying claim tied to the case.

Following the court victory, Natasha returned to her constituency on Sunday, where she was met with a jubilant crowd. In a video shared online, she announced, “I thank you for your support. I am glad we are victorious today. We shall resume in the Senate on Tuesday by the grace of God.”
