Unknown thugs reportedly set the party secretariat of Imo State chapter
of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on fire on Friday. It was
gathered that the fire only affected the internal parts of the
secretariat building, which is located at the Imo State University
junction in Owerri.
According to neighborhood report, they said that they noticed a white vehicle around the Secretariat after which they saw thick smoke and raised alarm.
The Orji police command was quick to respond while the Commissioner for Public Safety in company of Fire Service Men arrived and fought the fire to standstill.
Although properties worth millions of Naira were lost in the inferno which concentrated on the ground floor.
Luckily, there was heavy downpour that complimented the efforts of the fire Service men.
