MrBeast Breaks World Record With $12m From First Livestream

American YouTube superstar, Jimmy Donaldson, popularly known as MrBeast, has stunned the online community after raising a record-breaking $12 million during his very first livestream. The 25-year-old content creator made the revelation on his official X handle, where he announced that the charity broadcast surpassed every expectation and set a new Guinness World Record for the highest amount ever raised in a single livestream.

The fundraising event, which lasted for 18 hours and was co-hosted by top streamers Adin Ross and xQc, was initially targeted at $5 million but quickly soared as donations kept pouring in. Viewers watched as the trio engaged in outrageous challenges, including wrestling in oil, enduring live snakes, and taking lie detector tests, all in a bid to push the donations higher.

The charity drive, known as TeamWater, is aimed at providing clean drinking water for millions of people across the world. According to organisers, every dollar donated translates to one year of water access for a single person, and the overall campaign hopes to hit $40 million before the end of August. So far, over 30 million years of clean water access have already been secured.

The biggest highlight of the night came when Airbnb co-founder, Brian Chesky, phoned in to make a whopping $500,000 donation, helping the stream cross the $12 million mark and cement its place in history. Guinness World Records has since confirmed the achievement, toppling the previous $11.97 million record set by Z Event in 2021.

MrBeast, who is widely known for blending jaw-dropping entertainment with philanthropy, has once again proved his dominance in the digital space, showing how creator-driven initiatives can spark global impact while entertaining millions worldwide.
